• I am blessed to have played the role of Kendall Hart Slater on “All My Children” for almost 10 years. I played the wonderful Susan Lucci’s daughter during that time and I am proud to call her my friend! We enjoy having yummy dinners when we see each other.
• I love attending the Tribute to Pine Valley Fan Events. I have done a few of them and they are SO fun! I enjoy getting to reconnect with my old castmates and meet the fans. These photos are from one of the events in Connecticut!
• I am humbled to have received 2 Daytime Emmy nominations for the role of Kendall during that time as well.Click to view slideshow.
• The cast is now my extended family and I see many of them often!
• I am excited to have 2 indie films coming out this year. “Lies I Told My Little Sister“ directed by William Stribling-in which I have a pivotal role. I am also the female lead in “Desires of the Heart“ playing opposite the amazing Val Lauren. The film was directed by James Kicklighter. Both were amazing experiences working with such talented casts and crews. I have enjoyed working with new people!
• I am currently in pre-production for another film called “Here and Now” written by the wonderful Markus Redmond. It is slated to shoot this Spring. I feel blessed that these film opportunities keep coming. I enjoy the process so much! I just love to act!
• I am now getting into voiceovers as well. I just completed an animated pilot called “The City of Glistening Objects” that is due for release this year! It is very trippy and sexy…definitely not for kids!
• My dream is to do wacky cartoon voices!
• I am currently preparing to shoot a new web series called “Tainted Dreams” created by the lovely Sonia Blangiardo. I play a lead character named Angelica. She is a very complex and wonderful character to play! It is set to begin production this Spring in NYC.
• Aside from all of these fun new roles, my favorite role in the entire world is being a Mommy! My 3 year old Willow is my life! She is hilarious and so fun! I enjoy taking her to music classes in Manhattan. We go to her favorite restaurant called “Sugar and Plumm“ on the Upper West Side of Manhattan! It is like a fantasy land with lots of homemade goodies!
• I also have the best husband ever named Richie! He owns some great restaurants in Manhattan called Lucky’s Famous Burgers (love the turkey burgers there!) and Prohibition! Prohibition is my favorite! We take Willow and she loves the pizza there. I go for the live music!
• Speaking of music.. I like all kinds! Reggae, old school rock (Guns N Roses) Green Day, My Chemical Romance, Fun, Pink, Classical, even New Age! We have music on all the time in our house!
• Best concert ever was Coldplay at Madison Square Garden.
• I am a health food junkie!  I eat mostly organic and very healthy. Lots of fish,veggies,brown rice,nuts etc… I am always looking for healthy places to eat! I am a regular at “Josies” on the Upper West Side of Manhattan.  LOVE their salmon and broccoli!
• I am a NUT fanatic too! Love peanut butter! Fans always have given me peanut butter goodies over the years! I still welcome them!
• I have a sweet tooth though. I am obsessed with Levann Cookies on the Upper West Side of Manhattan.
• I love seeing shows in NYC. Now that we are back from LA (moved back 5 months ago) I want to start seeing more! I’ve seen “Rock of Ages” 7 times. Yup, I am a groupie.
• I have 2 charities that are close to my heart.  I have just started working with Trisomy18 Foundation…I have a cousin who had a child that died from the disease. I want to get the word out about it to help other families.
• The other is Americorps City Year in NYC. I was involved with them in LA and am now meeting with them in NY. It is a program to keep children in school as the drop out rate is high in many areas.
• I am obsessed with the show “New Girl” It is the only show I really am religious about and I just love to laugh my butt off!
• I could watch the movie or Broadway version of “Les Miserables“ over and over! It is my favorite all time show. I’ve had the soundtrack since I was 19!
• Family is the MOST important thing in the world to me. My hero is my grandmother Yolanda who is about to turn 102! She loves life and her zest for it inspires me!
• I live to laugh . I love to laugh. I actually have a giggling problem. I LOVE blooper shows! I had a problem giggling on the set on AMC and would get the rest of the cast in trouble from making them laugh! Love it!
• I live a very holistic, spiritual life. I love getting acupuncture and reiki treatments done to calm my soul! I love my acupuncturist Sissi Le in NYC. She needled me all through my pregnancy.
• I LOVED being pregnant and was honored to be on the cover of Pregnancy Magazine in 2009.
• I am obsessed with curly hair products! Proud to be one of the few left who leave their hair naturally curly. I come from a WHOLE family of curly haired people. I have 3 amazing sisters-all of whom have a head of curly hair! Love to go to the Phillip Kingsley Clinic in NYC for hair treatments and scalp massages! I use their curly hair products but love trying new things too!
• I have a background in musical theatre.  I LOVE to sing and dance. If I had the right training again, another dream is to be in a Broadway show! I mostly love to dance more than anything! All kinds! If I was not an actor I would want to be a dancer! My whole family loves to dance…from my 3 year old daughter to my 102 year old grandmother.
• I also enjoy my workouts, staying active and strong! I do weight training and love pilates! My mother teaches pilates and kicks my ass!
• I love wearing dresses (Bailey 44, BCBG, Nanette Lepore). I am also obsessed with Catherine Deane dresses…she did my wedding dress.  I am such a girly girl!  I love lots of colors, lace, skirts, ruffles, beading etc.
• I also dig wearing my 7 skinny jeans and boots. LOVE boots.
• I am obsessed with hats. I can be seen wearing a fedora or beret in the winter and sun hats in the summer!  I have a collection of them!

My Big Gay Italian Wedding tells the story of Anthony Pinnunziato (Wilkinson), a gay Italian-American from a large, chaotic family who wants to marry his boyfriend Andrew (Robinson) in a traditional wedding ceremony. The production satirizes the controversy surrounding same-sex marriage while drawing on larger-than-life gay and Italian characters. My Big Gay Italian Wedding originally premiered at the Actor’s Playhouse in November 2003, before moving to St. Luke’s Theatre in May of 2010 for a sixteen-month run.

Minshew’s New York theater credits include Beggar on Horseback and Of Love and Betrayal. In addition to All My Children, her film and TV credits include Lies I Told My Sister and Desires of the Heart.
