CNHA will host a resource fair offering financial assistance and career opportunities


HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) – The Council for Native Hawaiian Advancement is hosting a resource fair designed to provide financial assistance and career opportunities to Native Hawaiians.

The Resource Fair is Saturday, November 19 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

It is located on the third floor of the Hawaii Convention Center.

CNHA said the event will feature a preview of a variety of its programs that offer financial assistance, job training, entrepreneurship opportunities and more, as well as one-on-one assistance from CNHA staff.

In addition to one-on-one assistance with its mortgage and rent relief programs, the CNHA Resource Fair will offer a 30-45 minute presentation on a variety of programs and initiatives beginning at 10 a.m., including:

  • Oahu Homeowners Relief Fund: Mortgage and Utilities Relief for Honolulu Residents Affected by the COVID-19 Pandemic;
  • Help with rent and utilities: For Native Hawaiians who have been impacted financially by the COVID-19 pandemic;
  • Hawaiian Academy of Trades: Provides workforce development for economically and socially disadvantaged communities in a variety of trades such as carpentry, CDL, fire, police, solar installation, etc.
  • And KuHana Trade Program: Cohort-based business development course for small businesses in Hawaii.

There is no need to register in advance and parking is free.
