Adesola, while commending the Education Secretariat for their consistency in producing the annual school survey, which is a true document for effective school planning and administration, also commended them for their partnership with international development agencies.

He therefore tasked participants to deliberate on improving teacher productivity in FCT schools, develop credible partnerships that will complement sector funding, and develop an action plan to support teacher training and development. capacities of teachers in order to scale them in line with changing advancement. in technology.

“Our efforts in developing the plan will come to naught if the document is not applied to our development initiatives. I therefore implore this assembly to prioritize the implementation of the education sector plan in preparing your budget to enhance effective implementation of the plan,” he said.

The Permanent Secretary urged participants to engage in meaningful and productive discussions that would build their capacity and that of the Secretariat as an institution to improve education performance and service delivery.

Additionally, Secretary of the Education Secretariat, Sani El-katuzu, said the retreat would help provide sustainable solutions to the funding challenges of the secretariat.
