Former OYO CEO Geetika Mehta Joins ZebPay as Director of Human Resources


Zeb Ventures Pte, based in Singapore. Ltd., which owns and operates the oldest crypto asset exchange ZebPay, has appointed Geetika Mehta as chief human resources officer (CHRO), the company said in a statement.

Geetika was Chief People Officer (CPO) at Jubilant Industries and previously held leadership positions at OYO, Urban Ladder and PUMA.

She will lead the design and implementation of human resources strategy, culture transformation, talent management initiatives and building ZebPay into an organization for the future. ZebPay has tripled its workforce over the past year and plans to hire more engineers to continue creating innovative products for the industry, the statement said.

“This is an exciting time for the crypto ecosystem in India, and we see a dynamic set of talent taking an interest in driving its progress. We aim to recognize budding talent in emerging fields that still largely lack specialist expertise, primarily in blockchain development, and to hone their skills. In November, ZebPay appointed Tarun Jain as CFO.

As of January 2016, ZebPay had raised $ 1 million as part of its Series A funding from Claris Life Sciences CMD Arjun Handa, Jindal Worldwide MD Amit Jindal and other anonymous investors.
