The senior alert program is available from Mevagh FRC. This is a monitored personal alarm for people aged 65 and over with limited means.
It allows seniors to live safely and independently in their homes. Financed by Pobal.
Installation and equipment are free and if you connect to a landline, monitoring is free for the first year.

Busy Bees Parent, Baby & Toddler Group: This group is for parents/guardians and children 0-5 years old. We meet every Friday from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. €3 per family.
Swilly & Mulroy Wellness Café’s: The Downings Wellness Café will meet on the first Thursday of each month and will take place next Thursday, August 4 from 10:30am to 12:00pm, in The Galley.
The Ramelton Wellness Café will be open on the third Thursday of each month from 10.30am to 12pm, at the Quayside Bistro. Call in for a cup of tea and a chat, everyone is welcome.
Transition “Big Fish Little Fish” from national school to secondary school *SAVE THE DATE*: Monday, August 22, from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m.
This is a FREE and fun workshop for local children entering secondary school in the Mevagh region.
Provides an opportunity to meet new friends and covers any issues that may affect your child’s transition.
We cover timetables, class changes, etc. and organize fun team building exercises. To reserve a place, please call the Resource Centre.
The yoga, kindly hosted by Brigitte Hemmerle, will take place at Mevagh FRC in August. Saturday classes take place at 9:30 a.m. on 6, 13 and 20.
