The City of Spokane has issued three Notices of Funding Availability inviting applications from small business organizations, non-profit organizations, and proposals from qualified organizations interested in providing down payment assistance.

Assistance to affected small businesses

Grants of up to $45,000 will be awarded to small businesses that may show a decline in revenue from March 2020 to present. This funding is a retroactive reimbursement of expenses already paid. Applications are due Wednesday, December 21 at 5 p.m.

Assistance to affected non-profits

Grants of up to $45,000 will be awarded to nonprofit organizations that can show operating expenses from March 2020 to present. This funding is a retroactive reimbursement of expenses already paid. Your organization will need to provide information in the narrative section to show how it was disproportionately impacted. Applications are due Wednesday, December 21 at 5 p.m.

Down payment assistance providers

The City of Spokane invites electronic proposals from non-profit financial organizations offering down payment assistance for citizens of the City of Spokane. The selected organization or organizations would distribute the ARPA grant dollars with the following parameters:

  • First time home buyers
  • Have a family income of less than 200% AMI ($100,000/year)
  • Ability to provide proof of income eligibility and home location

Applications are due Wednesday, December 21 at 5 p.m.

Funding for these three programs will be awarded through a public process that requires the submission, review and assessment of application materials for alignment with eligibility criteria and competitiveness through the online portal. from the city.
